When you’re looking for the perfect pickup truck to fit your needs, it’s likely you want one that will make it easy to tow your boat, trailer, or RV. Luckily, that’s where the Ford Ranger comes into the picture. This brand-new addition to the Ford lineup will be going on sale early next year, and it’s set to provide you with some innovative towing technology that’s sure to make life a whole lot easier.
This new Ford Ranger radar technology uses the truck’s class-exclusive Blind Spot Information System to essentially provide you with an extra pair of eyes when you’re behind the wheel. When a trailer is hooked up to your Ford Ranger, cameras near the truck’s taillights help monitor blind spots all the way to the back of the trailer, letting you know when there’s a vehicle in your blind spots.
Furthermore, if you happen to have more than one trailer, the system can save up to three trailer profiles so your truck knows to provide you with warnings whenever another vehicle is driving past you.
When you don’t have a trailer attached to your truck, the Blind Spot Information System will let you know when vehicles are in your blind spots as it normally would. It will also let you know of any obstacles behind you when you’re backing out of a parking spot.
This Ford Ranger radar and Blind Spot Information System come standard on the Ranger XLT and Lariat trim levels. Learn more about the upcoming Ford Ranger and its incredible tech when you speak with our team here at Shults Ford Lincoln Wexford.
