Ford Bronco Best of What’s New

2021 Ford Bronco Sport | Shults Ford | Pittsburgh, PA

The experts at Popular Science know a winner when they see one. That’s exactly what they saw in the all-new 2021 Ford Bronco, set to make its long-awaited arrival at Shults Ford Lincoln Wexford in Pittsburgh this summer. The incredible Ford Bronco earned a spot on PopSci’s Best of What’s New 2020 list thanks to, among other things, its standard G.O.A.T. Modes™.

Popular Science calls the Bronco “the truck anyone can off-road,” hinting at its standard 4×4 capability and — of course — Terrain Management System™ with G.O.A.T. Modes™. The Bronco comes standard with five different G.O.A.T. Modes™ for various driving situations, while the top-of-the-line Bronco Badlands™ bumps that number to seven. With settings for Mud/Ruts, Rock Crawl, and Baja, the Bronco Badlands™ is the ultimate off-road SUV for adventure seekers.

But PopSci praised more than this SUV’s off-road prowess: “Even on the street, there’s plenty to appreciate, including doors that come off with just a single bolt and plug, and a manual transmission option for purists.” Add in features like next-gen SYNC® 4 technology and a look that couldn’t be more clearly pulled from Bronco DNA, and you’ve got a winner on multiple levels.

If you’re looking to win 2021, start by reserving your new Ford Bronco at Shults Ford Lincoln Wexford in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

2021 Ford F-150 PowerBoost™ Hybrid Hits the Mark

2021 Ford F-150 PowerBoost™ Hybrid Hits the Mark | Pittsburgh, PA

The all-new 2021 Ford F-150 demonstrates how to do hybrid right with its class-exclusive 3.5-liter PowerBoost™ Full Hybrid V6. To ensure that this innovative powertrain checks the boxes that Ford customers expect, Blue Oval engineers put it through its paces.

“Just because it’s a hybrid doesn’t mean we treated PowerBoost with kid gloves,” said Craig Schmatz, F-150 chief engineer. “To earn Built Ford Tough® certification, PowerBoost went through the torture testing we put all of our powertrains through. No F-150 powertrain gets a pass, we have one standard for quality and durability.”

That means the PowerBoost™ Full Hybrid V6-equipped F-150 had to undergo the same testing as every other version. Ford makes new F-150 trucks tow trailers through deserts in 100-degree heat, tackle trails to prove their mettle off-road, and endure sub-freezing temperatures to ensure year-round performance.

With the 2021 F-150 PowerBoost™, Ford added a new durability test to make sure the 1.5-kilowatt-hour lithium-ion battery can withstand going over rough, uneven, and jarring terrain. After the equivalent of a decade of driving, the results show that the hybrid version of the F-150 is up to the task.

And boy, is it ever up to the task. The 2021 Ford F-150 PowerBoost™, available at Shults Ford Lincoln Wexford, is truly a best-of-all-worlds truck. It delivers 430 horsepower and 570 lb-ft of torque, enabling max towing up to 12,700 pounds. It also offers best-in-class combined fuel economy at 25 mpg and an EPA-estimated range of 750 miles on a single tank. Add to that a class-exclusive Pro Power Onboard built-in generator, and you’ve got a truck that can just about do it all.

You’ll find that tested and proven do-it-all truck right here at Shults Ford Lincoln Wexford in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Check out our inventory online and schedule your test drive.

Ford Mustang Was World’s Best-Selling Sports Car in 2019

Ford celebrated the 56th anniversary of the world premiere of the original Mustang back in April. During this event, the company announced that the iconic pony car was the world’s best-selling sports car in 2019. That’s five consecutive years of dominance over its competition, consistent with what it’s done for the past five decades plus.

In 2019, Ford sold 102,090 Mustangs around the world, far outstripping other sports cars. Since the sixth-generation model debuted in 2014, Ford has sold an incredible 633,000 total Mustang cars around the globe, establishing it as the global leader in all things excitement.

Though it’s been the best-selling sports coupe in the United States for the past 50 years, the Mustang isn’t just an icon in America. Europe has also embraced the pony car, as evidenced by last year’s car sales stats. Mustang sales surged 50 percent in Poland and France and 33 percent in Germany. Europe as a whole sold 9,900 units, which is a 3 percent increase from 2018 sales.

The Mustang is likely to continue to top sports car sales, both here and abroad, as the rest of 2020 plays out. And the Mustang family now has more variants to choose from than ever — a total of 12, to be exact. From all-new Shelby GT500 — the most powerful street-legal car Ford has ever made — to all-new, all-electric Mustang Mach-E, you’ve got no shortage of options if you want to ride with a true legend. No matter which Mustang you pick, you can get it at Shults Ford Wexford. Check out our current inventory online, and if you don’t see your prized pony, call or email and we’ll help you get it.

Helpful Tips for Starting Up a Garden

Nothing quite lifts your spirits in the springtime like a beautiful garden with blooming, fragrant flowers. With the weather warming up at last, now’s the time to start plotting your plot. With these helpful tips for starting up a garden, you don’t need to be an experienced green thumb to bear fruit from your planting.

Find the perfect spot

Location is everything when it comes to gardening. If you choose a spot that doesn’t receive enough sunlight, the plants in your garden will have a hard time growing. Look out over your yard at different times during the day to see how much natural light the place you’re considering planting gets over time. If it looks like enough, forge ahead.

Choose the right plants

Once you’ve got your place picked out, you need to decide what you want to plant. If you’re not very experienced, you’ll probably want to start with one kind of crop, whether it’s flowers, herbs, or vegetables. You may also want to do your research on whatever you plan to plant to learn how they bloom and what special needs they might have.

If you haven’t planted a garden before, call up someone who might have some experience to see if they have any tips for starting up a garden. Be sure you send them a picture and progress updates as your garden comes into its own. If you need a truck or SUV that’s capable of supporting your next haul from the home and garden store, look no further than Shults Ford Wexford.
