New Ford Power Stroke V8 Diesel Engine Can Go More than Half a Million Miles
The all-new Ford Power Stroke V8 diesel engine, which is available in the Ford F-650 and F-750 medium duty truck line, is predicted to have a lifetime of more than 500,000 miles. 90% of these engines are predicted to achieve this without ever needing major service.
The Ford F-650 and F-750 models are medium-duty work trucks designed for exceptional power and fuel economy, and the Power Stroke engine comes with an unbeatable warranty and the ability to service at a huge number of Ford service centers around the country. These trucks are also equipped with a Ford TorqShift HD six-speed automatic transmission for more high towing and hauling capacity.
The new Power Stroke engine isn’t just longer lasting—it’s also much quieter than the previous engine, reducing noise by up to 45% inside the cabin and 35% outside it. The engine comes with three power levels, ranging from 675 lb-ft of torque to 725. The 270 hp, 675 lb-ft of torque standard engine is the best standard in its class.
The 2017 F-650 and F-750 are available in dealerships now.
