Customer Demand Prompts Ford to Increase Super Duty Production

The Kentucky Truck Plant, which builds the F-250 through F-550 versions of Ford’s powerful Super Duty truck, just received an $80 million investment. The investment, which will help create 350 additional jobs at the factory, will mainly support a 15% increase in Super Duty production, an increase made necessary by insatiable customer demand for the popular truck.

“Customer demand for F-Series Super Duty trucks is growing substantially, and F-Series overall is America’s best-selling truck for 37 years running,” said Joe Hinrichs, Ford president of The Americas. “Building on more than 100 years of manufacturing in Kentucky, we are proud to expand our profitable growth in the region as a result of our leadership in trucks and SUVs.”

Here at Shults Ford Lincoln of Wexford, we know firsthand just how popular these Super Duty trucks are, so the increase makes perfect sense to us. Come by Shults soon and take one of these awesome trucks out for a test drive—you’ll easily see why Ford is finding it necessary to increase production on these behemoths.
