When you’re building up your business fleet, it’s likely you’re looking for the type of vehicle that will get the job done without costing you a lot of money. That’s where Ford comes into play. Five of the American carmaker’s fleet vehicles were recently named winners of the 2018 Vincentric Best Fleet Value Awards, making them both budget-friendly and capable.
These five Ford vehicles earned recognition in the sedan, pickup, and van categories. The Taurus SE claimed the large sedan title for the eighth time while the Ford F-150 XL won the full-size, half-ton pickup truck segment for a sixth time.
The F-350 Super Duty XL took the full-size, one-ton segment for a third time. Even the Transit 150 XL low-roof passenger wagon and the Transit 150 medium-roof cargo van got in on the action, placing top spot for their segments for the fourth and second time, respectively.
Vincentric decides the winners of these awards by examining fleet lifecycle costs in eight areas. This includes depreciation, fuel, insurance, financing, repairs, opportunity costs, maintenance, and fees and taxes.
Each segment’s winner has the lowest lifecycle costs across 28 ownership and mileage scenarios, which range from 24 months of ownership (or 10,000 miles annually) to 60 months of ownership (or 40,000 miles annually).
Our staff at Shults Ford Lincoln Wexford couldn’t be happier to hear about another big win for Ford.
